What's On My iPod?

The music I have on my two iPods serves two very specific and different purposes.

Yoga Music & Meditations

My trusty classic iPod is filled with music I use when teaching yoga classes and in my meditation practice.

Two of my favorite "yoga" music artists include Wah! and Rasa. I never leave home without them.

I have a daily meditation practice which includes both silent mediation and guided meditation. Thanks to a recent gift, I listen to David Ison nightly and often in the morning as well. The great thing about Ison's method is that you benefit even if you fall asleep. Works for me!

Workout Music

I can usually be found in group exercise classes that come programmed with music, but once a week I run and do a muscle conditioning session for which I need some serious motivational music.

On the lightweight iPod I use for this weekly workout, I have everything from Eric Clapton, Pat Benatar, CSNY, and Patti Smith to, and don't laugh too hard, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Usher, Adele, AWOLNATION, Liane Foly, Rihanna, Afro Celt Sound System, Gigi, Ofra Haza, Alesha Dixon, Florence and the Machine, and more.
